The Medium Wheeled Armoured Personnel Carrier, or SKOT for short - who among the graduates of the basic military service in the 1960s-1990s would not know this most famous Czechoslovak "armoured personnel carrier. " It became the successor of the world-famous interwar Czechoslovak design school of special military vehicles and lasted more than forty years in the arsenal of our army. In a unique collection of often unpublished archival photographs, drawings and other documents, the reader is presented with a colourful story of the vehicle - from its inception, the assignment of the design task, through development, testing and deployment in the army and police. There are also technical parameters, details, armament and information about its operation in foreign missions and armies.
