Oscar Wilde: The Ideal Husband

Intelligent humour, brilliant dialogue and, of course, indispensable bon mots - these are the qualities for which we still seek out Oscar Wilde's plays. In the main roles of this drama from society, in which the sins of youth are recalled at the most inopportune time, you will hear Jaromír Hanzlík, Daniela Kolářová and Pavel Soukup. Oscar Wilde had an extraordinary talent and an unusual ability to skillfully develop comedic situations, which he also infuses with a distinctive, unmistakable humour, in the case of An Ideal Husband very ironic and even sarcastic. Wilde brilliantly manages to laugh at all the hypocrisy, and to this day provides us with a relieving, healing laugh.
