A book about tolerance and freedom of thought
If you read the book, dear reader, think about the things I describe. You don't have to agree with me, that's where our freedom lies. But to disagree does not mean we are enemies. The world of thought and science is beautiful in how complex it is, and freedom includes respect for others.
I am happy if someone agrees with me, but I equally appreciate anyone who disagrees with me. But only on the assumption that's not why he's doing this, that it was worn and someone told him to wear it, but because he has different experience and knowledge, can articulate their disagreement with substantive arguments, and if they don't convince me, he doesn't want to put me in the pillory for it.
It's probably an impossible wish, our world is not that simple, but without faith in the truth, human life would be very sad.
Based on logic and historical experience, one of the most famous Czech authors analyses the boundaries between misinformation, information and opinion. It tells about how people's opinions were influenced in the past, what means were used to do so, and it shows how harmful intolerance of other people's ideas is through a number of concrete examples. In addition to a wealth of interesting information and technical data, the reader will also find the author's fresh humour.
