The colourful publication with a large number of pictures and tables is intended for medical doctors, young doctors in pre-testing training, as well as midwives.

It contains a chapter on physiological pregnancy, and discusses methods of examination. Other chapters cover risky and pathological pregnancies (and discuss, among other things, the various diseases that can threaten the expectant mother during pregnancy).

In the following chapters we will find developmental irregularities and abnormalities of the fetal egg, childbirth, pathological childbirth, obstetric surgery and pathological sixth childbirth. The book concludes with „ Perinatological data“, such as natality, perinatal and maternal mortality, perinatal and maternal morbidity.
