Night Story

A true story about the vampire trials of Opava Silesia

Since 1754, the village of Svobodné Heřmanice has been plagued by nocturnal spectres, and stories circulate among the people about the horrors, mysteries, and secrets that have unfolded since the death of the local healer and alleged witch, Marianna Saligerin. The undead are rising from their graves, black magic is rampant, and demons rule the night. Even the powerful Cistercian monastery offers no help, so two Jesuit missionaries and the scientist Amarant decide to investigate the strange apparitions on their own. Who is nailing the dead and the living to the church gates and burning them with fire? Is it resurrected vampires, or perhaps an unexpected avenger?
