A thrilling Nordic mystery The Unwanted from the Fredrika Bergman and Alex Recht series
A little girl has disappeared from the X-2000 train that arrived at Stockholm Central Station. The police soon become suspicious of her father, whom they use all their resources to catch. Meanwhile, elsewhere in Sweden, a young woman is hiding from the man she initially thought was her dream prince and liberator. He knows exactly why the little girl disappeared, and he's about to run away again.
The police investigation is led by the legendary Inspector Alex Recht, who is assisted by the keen criminalist Peder Rydh and, last but not least, by Fredrika Bergman, whose original intention was a career as a cellist. But instead she ended up in the police station and now has to fight against the wind to take the investigation in a different direction than the one that seemed most likely at first.
Meanwhile, a case full of subtle evil grows to ever greater proportions. The investigation team has no time to waste if there is to be no further loss of life. How much time do they have before the perp makes his next move? And who is the mysterious shadow woman? You need to find it, so that the last piece of the puzzle fits into place.
