Mysteries of Ostrava

Old Ostrava hides many secrets! It's not just crooks and thieves who employ local gendarmes. The dark alleys of Moravská Ostrava, Vítkovice and the adjacent villages are full of strange things. And out of the strange circumstances grow unusual friendships. After the Great War, Ostrava is a wild region. The coal treasury of the young republic and the industrial heartland, where it is being built not overnight. Legionnaire Vácha, after returning from the Russian campaign, pours hectolitres of alcohol down his throat to chase away old fears. And if the booze wasn't enough, he'd rather not even put down a loaded gun. Together with the daughter of the gendarme Sikora and the parish priest Bronský, they form a trio of paranormal investigators as colourful as Ostrava itself. Just give them the first case; bullets whizz past them and dark curses ring out. Mark Skřipský's successful novel Ostrava Mysteries is finally being released as an audiobook performed by David Viktory. Let yourself be absorbed by the dark atmosphere of First Republic Ostrava and discover its supernatural secrets together with the heroes of the book.
