Mycelium V: Voices and Stars

Signs. Foreshadowing. A wave of change. Whether you want it or not, the Starlords are coming.

The sect of the Aurigian heresy is destroyed, but the call sent out into the universe is not without consequences. The stargazers - wëtrëigaës - are coming. They represent a threat against which even the greatest enemies should unite: The telepath Ash~shad, the High Priest of Rekegh, the Ships, the Sgen of Fomalhiwa, and the new Earth High Priestess Regent. But for those who crave power, it is hard to forget their own goals. Not everyone crosses their shadow. There are enough who would actually like to see the arrival of the Starlords. And the more people talk about Stargazers, the more they become a reality.

Lucas has no desire to be an all-powerful hero. He hears the Ships, gains psychotronic powers, and the Key is within his grasp. but the easy paths that offer themselves have never been for him. As is his wont, he's heading the other way: into the fog and into the darkness, across the ghostly bridge and through the greatest humiliation - because that is the right direction.

He suspects what others have not yet acknowledged. The usual solutions are not enough here.
