My younger brother

Marek lives the typical life of a student in 1980s Czechoslovakia. He attends lectures, parties and compulsory military drills and persistently pursues the beautiful and unavailable Anna. But she's got other things on her mind. She was actively involved in spreading Augustin Navratil's petition for religious and civil freedom - the largest action of its kind in socialist Czechoslovakia. Catholic Anna wants to agitate and collect signatures, whatever the cost. Marek is not directly involved in the petition drive, but ironically it is he who will end up with the worst of it. A novel set in a college environment, the novel is narrated by Mark's brother based on the fictional diary of the main character. At the same time, it is inspired by the real experiences and memories of the author Martin Uhlíř. In his performance, the return to the 1980s is far from "cute retro" and opens up unplanned themes of faith or different sexual orientation.
