The story of a girl from the Vysočina region who conquered one of the world's toughest hiking trails
Each year, 3000 people set out on the Pacific Crest Trail, but only 180 of them finish it. Monika is one of them. Not long ago, she was a pale patient with serious health and psychological problems. Despite this, she decided to change her life and fulfil her dream – to hike across America. She faced illness, deserts, frostbite, bears and pumas, all of which she encountered while trekking alone through the wilderness. The Pacific Crest Trail tested her severely. But it also taught her never to give up.
