Winnifred McNulty has always been unnecessarily independent. For most of her life, she has tried to prove to everyone, including herself, that she can handle everything on her own despite her negligible disability and doesn't need anyone. She has never let herself be pampered and fundamentally refuses any help. And with minor adjustments, she's even succeeded in proving it.
However, that all changes when she spends a night—and not even the whole night—at a Halloween party with an incredibly charming but complete stranger named Bo.
Six weeks later, while Bo is surprisingly enthusiastic and preparing to tackle his upcoming task with gusto, Win, after making the most important decision of her life, is unsure if she can handle this new challenge alone. Together, they decide to get to know each other as friends and co-parents—and nothing more.
However, as they both should know by now, life rarely goes according to plan.
