Mrs. Trumberry's taking a guess

A selection of short stories has been given a title that seeks to pay tribute to the great Canadian author in the colloquial terms of our mother tongue. It is not about any nonsensical banter, although Leacock does play with verbal jokes with gusto, simply with " Canada ". But he is far more than an obligatory prankster. He's a parodist. The author's verbal humour brings stories full of exaggeration and grotesque contrasts, revealing the life of the snobbish elite.
