Mr Brouček's New Epochal Excursion, This Time to the 15th Century

Another book in the series about the time-travelling adventures of the wealthy townsman, Mr Brouček.

After his trip to the Moon, Svatopluk Čech’s imagination takes him in the opposite direction through spacetime. Mr Brouček has had a little too much to drink again and ends up in an empty barrel in Würfl's cellar, under the Na Vikárce pub. There would be nothing particularly strange about that, except that Mr Brouček has also travelled back to the 15th century, where he gets entangled with the warring Crusaders and Hussites.

If it weren't for the pub owner Würfl, who discovered Brouček in the barrel, who knows how things would have turned out for our landlord.
