Models of financial performance management

The publication deals with new approaches to assessing the financial performance of companies in the global market, which are not given enough importance, especially by owners and managers of small and medium-sized companies. These are modern financial models that take into account economic profit, market value and market criteria, as opposed to standard financial models that are based on accounting profit. The analytical part of the book is devoted to an empirical sectoral analysis and comparison of the financial performance of selected sectors of the food industry in the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic.

As a result, two practical linear multiple regression models of financial management for SMEs are developed, one based on EAT as the standard accounting profit-based management model, and the other based on EVA, which represents a modern management model that incorporates the indicators with the most significant impact on SME performance.

Experienced authors address the current topic from real practice, analyze the issue from the perspective of a modern financial manager in a small and medium-sized enterprise and use theoretical knowledge of financial management with links to application in management practice, which they apply in practical financial models used to increase the financial performance of SMEs in the global market.
