Military trucks Skoda
For the first time in the Czech Republic, a book is being published that provides a detailed and insider's view into the history of truck production at the Škoda plant in Pilsen. The Škoda Group was the largest armaments manufacturer in the monarchy, but it was never directly involved in the production of cars. This changed after the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia.
The "proven" domestic manufacturers were not interested in military contracts, the Pilsen concern on the contrary, although it had no experience. Soon he was able to produce trucks of his own design. Production took place between 1919 and 1950. The reader will find descriptions of all types, technical specifications, model successes, military trials and blind alleys and mistakes clearly arranged and with excellent period photographs. All the information in the book can be substantiated by archival documents.
