MIKI

The book version of the film story inspired by real events. The story of former underworld boss Mikuláš Černák is an integral part of Slovak history in the 1990s. An era in which the ability to succeed at any cost became synonymous with success. Through force. By breaking the rules. Both in politics and outside of it. 'Strong men' have been a subject of fascination and admiration for more than three decades. Perhaps this is why we, as a society, are where we are, because we co-create an environment of corruption in which our 'role models' can succeed.
