Mikhail Bulgakov: The Master and Margaret

A radio adaptation of one of the most important novels of the 20th century (first published more than a quarter of a century after its author's death in 1968), a parable of good and evil told on the basis of the stories of Faust and Pontius Pilate. This magical story about the eternal struggle between good and evil, in which several storylines intertwine and reality mixes with fantasy, was the inspiration for Jan Vedral's three-part radio series of the same name. We invite you to a time when Russia was ruled by a Bolshevik dictatorship and an evil magician and his bizarre retinue walked the streets of Moscow. Directed by Jiří Horčička, the cast includes: Miloš Kopecký (Woland), Ladislav Frej (Master), Helena Friedrich (Margaret), Eduard Cupák (Pilate), Josef Vinklář (Kňour), Josef Langmiler, Jan Teply, Jiri Ornest, Viktor Preiss, Sylva Turbová, Ilja Prachar, Simona Stasova and others.
