Not everyone who claims to want to help people is sincere...
Not everyone who claims to want to help people is telling the truth. Olivia Rönning has disappeared. Her colleague Lisa Hedqvist soon realises that she must have been kidnapped. When Tom Stilton learns what has happened, he decides to leave his island covid quarantine immediately. Lisa and Tom follow the trail, and it leads them to a lonely cottage. When they reach it, however, it is in flames and later a woman's charred body is found in its ruins. Is that Olivia?
In the meantime, Mette Olsäter, their retired boss, has been appointed national coordinator for the supply of covid vaccines. But someone is determined to do whatever it takes to sabotage their delivery.
The Merciful Samaritan is the next book in the bestselling Nordic mystery series The Rising Tide.
