Mental resilience of the preschool child
What kind of world are we raising children for and how do we make them succeed in it? The present and the future brings with it the breaking down of old certainties and values (including the breakdown of the classical family), a huge amount of choice and freedom. This trend brings an increasing psychological burden. The book introduces the theory of the development of psychological resilience of the child. It deals with fundamental aspects of child development that affect the development of personality traits beneficial to a child's psychological resilience. The publication approaches the issue from the point of view of social-cognitive theory. This theoretical assumption makes it possible to present educational recommendations on how to accompany the child in coping with various life situations, or how to psychologically "toughen" the child. Attention is paid in particular to what experiences can be conveyed to the child and how to evaluate his success and failure. In particular, dealing with a child's failure has an impact on his future way of coping with difficult life situations.
