The true story of a young Jewish Slovak woman who witnessed the worst horrors of Auschwitz
The book describes the life of a young Jewish Slovak woman Viola in the First Republic Lučenec, the annexation by Hungary and the ever worsening situation of the Jews. Eventually, Viola and her family are sent on a transport. Unlike her relatives, the infamous Dr. Mengele and Viola become one of his "girls" - a group of women and girls on whom various experiments were conducted. In the end, her victory lies not "only" in the fact that she survived, but also in the fact that despite everything she managed to start a family and have children.
