Memento - new edition

Michal Otava is a grammar school student. What did he find so interesting about drugs? Why did he think for so long that he could stop taking drugs at any time, that he didn't need them to live? Why did he fail so many times? And why is his story so similar to the stories of other addicts?

This novel, with its journalistic elements, is largely based on real events. It is a probe into the lives of Prague drug addicts in the 1980s, a realistic testimony about loneliness, fear, cruelty, and human limits.
