Medical stories from the Hradec Kralove region

The book contains over 300 humorous medical stories, showing our doctors and other medical professionals not as bronze statues standing on a marble pedestal, but as real people with all human qualities. The stories are real (although sometimes a little modified), and therefore all the personalities are given their real names. The book contains stories about professors, chief physicians, ordinary doctors, as well as medics and other health professionals. The stories are mainly from the Hradec Králové Medical Faculty, but also from other departments of the Hradec Králové Region. The authors - collectors of stories - are experienced and well-known publicists. Prof. MUDr. Ladislav Chrobák, CSc.., internationally known hematologist, who contributed a substantial share of authentic stories from the Hradec Králové faculty, in 2007 he received the highest award of the Czech Academy of Medical Sciences for his outstanding contribution to the development of medicine, pedagogical activity and lifelong scientific work. MUDr. Svatopluk Káš, CSc., has published expert neurological papers and written more than 10 books of medical histories.
