Medical research and ethics

At a time when the issue of research is at the centre of the medical agenda and the traditional relationship between doctor and patient is changing into a relationship between researcher and research subject, it is of utmost urgency to pay attention to the potential ethical pitfalls of research. The author's aim is to present the issue of medical research ethics in an understandable form not only to doctors and medical students, but also to lay people who become research subjects.
