Mark Twain: A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court

A famous story from the pen of one of the most famous American authors of the 19th century. An intelligent young man from late 19th century America finds himself in 6th century England, at the court of the mythical King Arthur. The young man, soaked up by the boom of science and technology, uses his knowledge to benefit himself and those around him. Mark Twain plays out a number of humorous situations, but with a more serious subtext, in which the wise satirist reflects on the abuse of power and the position of man in society.
