Love and resentment

In a remote region in the south of France, two noble families are fighting a long and irreconcilable battle. It used to be just about border lands, then the kidnapping of the enemy's daughter, loss of honor and property was added. An earlier enmity turns into a deadly grudge. The humiliated party wants revenge, but before it can be exacted, the revolution comes and the culprit flees abroad. At the end of the Empire - after twenty-five long years - the emigrants returned to their homeland. Gender resentment flares up - all the more so because the opponents stand in opposite political camps. The younger generation, who wanted nothing to do with the original dispute, is also involved in the revenge. But the pressure from the family is too strong.
