Lost in Time

Martin is spending his summer at his grandmother's in the village. A blasted detention for bad behaviour – he could have been at the seaside by now! Instead, he's in the countryside, where there are only a few cottages and nothing else. It's a good thing his grandmother is such a good storyteller! Martin could listen forever to stories about her little brother, who was just as mischievous as he is and was killed by lightning at Martin's age. One day, Martin sets off for the neighbouring village and is caught in a terrible storm halfway there. The thunder roars and lightning zigzags across the blackened sky when suddenly the darkness is split by a huge flash accompanied by a strange purple glow. Martin falls to the ground, anxiously watching the raging landscape. Suddenly he hears a thudding sound – a lone boy is running across the meadow towards a tall tree.
