Lord MacKay's Bride

Annabel lives as the obedient second-born daughter in a convent. Just as she is about to take her holy vows, her parents tear her away from her sheltered world to marry her off to a Scottish nobleman to whom her sister was betrothed. Her sister has run away with a stable boy, bringing shame upon their parents. Annabel accepts her fate with humility, but a threat lurks beneath the seemingly calm waters.
