Loch Down Manor

The 1930s. A mysterious illness is spreading through Scotland. However, the residents of Loch Down Abbey, the noble and ancient Inverkillen family, are far more concerned about their dwindling supply of toilet tissue and the question of who will look after the children now that the nanny has dared to depart this world at such an inconvenient time.
Lord Inverkillen, the Earl and most important member of the family, is found dead under strange circumstances. The inspector rules the incident an accident, but Mrs MacBain, the head housekeeper, is not convinced. As no one is allowed to leave the house due to the illness, and no outsiders are allowed to enter, the only suspects are the residents of the house, whether they be family or servants.
Since the Earl's family is too busy with what can only be described as doing nothing, she decides to start investigating herself. Only in her spare time, of course. In doing so, she uncovers a host of long-hidden secrets, lies, and deceptions that are set to change life at the Abbey forever.
