Adam is a representative of the internet generation. He is also a programmer, computer hacker and activist. He is convinced that the existing social rules must end and be replaced by others. The Internet and free access to everyone and everything gives a unique opportunity to do so. Not everyone of his generation is bothered by it, life offers so many other diversions than changing the world, but it is one of the fun options. Adam's girlfriend Eva, for example, has a completely different idea of life.
Daniel is a recent retiree. He's still trying to catch on somehow. But the job market needs young people who can switch between the real and virtual worlds automatically, without thinking. Moreover, Daniel feels his energy waning. It costs him enough strength to resist the coming old age and to slow down the natural decline of the organism. His much younger partner Clare devoted all her time to her career and child-free lifestyle. But she always wanted a big family. It's his last chance to do something about it.
The last of the main characters is Wang. The tragedy of his life changed his view of the world. He's become more perceptive. They all have a strong desire for life change. They just need a boost.
