Lie next to me

Adam and Sophie Warner and their 3-year-old daughter come to spend a long weekend on the shores of Hood Canal Nature Preserve in Washington State. Three historic cottages right by the water, the perfect place for family relaxation. And maybe to revive their somewhat stale marriage.
On the first morning of the first day, Adam takes his daughter on a boat to fish for crabs and oysters, for which the area is famous. But when they're more than a hundred metres from the shore, there's a scream and they watch helplessly as Sophie is ambushed by an unknown stranger and dragged away. They can't help her or identify her attacker. Sophie disappears without a trace.
The kidnapping had other witnesses. Their neighbour Teresa from the next cottage, who was looking after her two grandchildren, heard the screams and the old man, who was walking his dog, even saw everything from a distance. But the neighbors in the third cabin, Kristen and Connor Moss, know nothing more about the kidnapping than what they've heard on the news, or so they claim.
Adam's rescue is his old girlfriend from his youth, local police investigator Lee Husemann, who will do anything to find Sophie, or at least Adam hopes so.
As Lee puts the pieces of the confusing puzzle together, Adam's paranoia grows and the lives of all the players become unexpectedly intertwined in a disturbing picture in which nothing may be as it first appears.
Because it seems they all have something to hide.
From strangers, but especially from those they go to bed next to every night.
