Lelie in the service of Sherlock Holmes

The humorous prose is a parody of the political conditions in the Spanish and Austro-Hungarian monarchies at the beginning of the century. It tells the story of the change in the fate of a indebted official from a small town who, at the request of a detective, becomes a double of the Spanish King Alfonso XIII. Protected by the detective' s foresight, the hero goes through a series of adventures. The book was the basis for a film starring Vl. Burian.
