Lady in Blue
A Thrilling Castle Detective Story
The Lady in Blue is a painting by a renowned artist from the First Republic of Czechoslovakia that will cause Count Valerian Choris, the heir to a prosperous estate, more than a few stressful moments. This is because the painting has fallen into the wrong hands.
What at first seems like a wild escapade involving the painting ends in murder. Valerian, in the role of a detective, begins to investigate on his own. Sometimes, however, it's better not to know, especially when even those closest to him are hiding something and nothing is as it seems…
What they wrote about the book:
"A detective story with a flawless plot. I really enjoyed searching for the culprit and solving the detective mysteries. In addition, the clever choice of setting and the impressive atmosphere of castles and the art world..."

"Witty and thrilling. It keeps you in suspense until the very last moment because you have no idea how it will turn out. The motto could be: How a fraudster tricked a fraudster. The plot is excellent and the castle backdrop is quite exotic. A really well-done book!"

She comes from the Podkrkonoší region, a well-known area for amateur theatre groups. An enthusiastic amateur actress herself, she first attended the Brno Conservatory and then the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU). In 1994, she first appeared on the stage of the Mahen Theatre as Princess Dandelion in the production of Kvapil's fairy tale of the same name. After several years with the company, she decided to pursue a television and film career in Italy and spent the turn of the millennium in the service of the Italian television industry, working with Terence Hill, among others. In 2003, she returned to the Mahen Theatre company and immediately applied her Italian experience in Čičvák's production of Goldoni's Treperendy. Since then, she has created many characters at the Mahen Theatre; among them, it is worth mentioning Veronique Houillé in Yasmina Reza's God of Carnage, Mirandolina in Goldoni's comedy of the same name, or the frantic Klásková in Jirásek's The Lantern.
