Midnight Sun

The sun never sets and the hunt never ends.

The 1970s again, but this time in the far north of Norway. The abandoned village of Kasund, somewhere in Finnmark, whose inhabitants are members of the Laestadian movement, which binds their lives with strict rules. Ten-year-old Knut and his beautiful, newly widowed mother Lea, who is a churchwarden and bell-ringer, Mattis, an untrained theologian, and Anita, a shaman.
A mysterious stranger, Ulf, who claims to have come from Oslo to hunt white-cockroaches, but he doesn't look like a hunter at all, he doesn't even have a proper rifle. But he doesn't want to reveal to anyone that the only prey to be hunted here is himself. It is hard to know whose side the locals will take and whether they will help him shake off the hunters.
