Chimneys

The third edition of the publication provides the reader with an up-to-date (according to the new European standards) and comprehensible introduction to the issue of flue gas extraction from solid, liquid and gaseous fuel appliances. It concerns both new buildings and reconstructions. For gas appliances, it deals with chimney designs depending on the flue gas temperature and the required underpressure or overpressure. Describes the principles and method of construction of ceramic chimneys, metal chimneys and new types of chimneys, methods and instructions for reconstruction of chimneys by inserting for appliances for liquid and gaseous fuels. A separate chapter is devoted to the defects of individual types of chimneys, how to remove them, inspection and cleaning of chimneys. The author participates in the elaboration of Czech chimney standards and cooperates in the elaboration of other regulations in the field of chimneys, at the same time he is a long-standing expert in the field of construction with a special specialization in chimney construction.
