The Glade has taken another close friend from Michael, and he is further from completing his quest than ever before. A professional player killer is hot on his heels, the Crypt is revealing its dangerous trump cards, and his relationship with Asuna is at freezing point.
After an unexpected encounter beyond the borders of the Glade unravels another piece of the mystery, a new path opens up for him, and with it, a chance to kill the Pharaoh. However, this will require renewing old alliances, forging new ones, but above all, paying a very high price.
The only certainty for Michael is provided by the will-o'-the-wisp, Lumie. She is levelling up against the logic of the code, proving that the Glade may have changed more than he expected. And not just the game itself, but also its inhabitants and players…
