Kingdom of the Sword is a continuation of the Czech historical series Knights of Vřesov.
Wolfram Katzinger from Olšová, a former johanite, whose only possession is his sword, excellent horse, bravery and the art of combat, stands faithfully in the service of King John. Benes of Vřesov continues to build his castle of Vřesov, as only solid walls, foresight and perhaps even the marshes surrounding the Vltava River on the border with Bavaria can protect him from repeated raids of the Bavarian nobleman, who is better known in Bohemia under the nickname Hanz Křivák. As Rožmberk's man, whom the young ruler values very much despite their disagreement, he has to leave Vřesov and take part in battles with both internal and external enemies in defence of the king. Or against him? It depends on which side of the Rožmberk is currently standing on.
