What happened to the protagonist of the documentary film Katka?
What is life really like for Kateřina B., who appeared in Helena Třeštíková's unique time-lapse documentary in 2009? For fourteen years, the director followed Katka on a downward spiral of drugs, theft, prostitution, and physical and mental decay, which was only occasionally interrupted by hope and a determination to quit drugs. Today she is 43, her daughter is cared for by her grandmother, and Katka's eternal struggle between addiction and a sincere desire to be saved continues.
Michael Třeštík prepared a series of unique interviews, accompanied by photographs from his son Tomáš. In the biography, on which she collaborated, Katka describes her childhood, her pregnancy, her path to drugs, and the longing for a life without them that still hasn't left her.
