Karosa 700/900 - buses of the 80s and 90s

Perhaps the most famous products of the famous Karosa factory in Vysokomyt (today Iveco Czech Republic) are the 700 and 900 series buses. These distinctively designed machines were used in urban, regional, long-distance and touring transport and ruled the roads of the former Czechoslovakia for many years. “ Seven hundred" they were still classic products of a planned socialist economy, yet they also gained popularity abroad. In the mid-1990s, they were followed by newly designed buses known as the Karosa 900, which were already being developed in partnership with Western European manufacturers (Renault and later Iveco). Thanks to foreign partners, we managed to bring Czech buses to a very decent level and make them an interesting export item. The book is equally devoted to both product groups. It summarizes the history of their creation and development, describes technical peculiarities and unique utility conversions. There are clear technical tables, unique full-page colour photographs and technical drawings.
