Karel Klostermann - In the Heart of the Sumava Woods

Do you like Šumava as Karel Klostermann depicts it in his most famous novel From the World of Forest Solitudes? Then the audiobook In the Heart of the Sumava Woods may surprise you. In addition to a harsh chronicle of life in the mountain solitudes, it will also take you into the kinder, more smiling corners of the author's work. Alongside the silence of deep forests and unrelenting nature, there is also gentle humour, kind irony and insight into human fate. The short stories come to life like small pictures from the old Šumava - with their characters, their worries and their joys, their stubbornness and their good-heartedness. In the Heart of the Sumava Woods is a collection of eleven short stories in which harsh Sumava nature is intertwined with human fates, humour and quiet melancholy.
