A book with selected newspaper columns by Karel Čapek from 1920-24
The calendar was first published after the death of Karel Čapek in 1940. In these columns, Karel Čapek presents himself as a great observer. He notices everything - the change of the landscape during the four seasons, animals and insects, the smell of the house, the railway station, but also general things and the characters of different people. Some of the columns are humorous, but there are more thoughtful, observational ones. Karel Čapek wrote around 500 columns in his lifetime. And so listen to the 60 columns by Karel Čapek that were selected for the book Calendar.
