Just don't let them think we're collaborators

The book is based on the author's long-term and comparative research on collaboration during the Second World War. Through a Czech example, it reflects on the form and manner of collaboration of Czech political and economic elites including some of the intelligentsia with the Nazi occupiers during the existence of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. He perceives this complicated issue in a gradualist way and at the same time distinguishes between different forms of collaboration. The main focus is on the Protectorate government, the attitudes of President Hácha, General Elias, Chairman ...and of course the Minister of Propaganda, Moravec. He reflects on the role of Czech fascists, especially Vlajka, and the historically difficult to grasp position of intellectuals and ordinary Czechs, whose aim was often to "somehow" survive the years of German occupation.
