Junky Doctor

Due to tragic and urgent circumstances, the Hong Kong police are forced to call in a German doctor, Fritz Merker. His task is to solve the mystery surrounding a group of women who all share one thing in common: they all suffer from a fatal liver disease – and all committed their murders in a trance-like state. HEINZ G. KONSALIK Heinz G. Konsalik (1921–1999) was a German writer and journalist. During the Second World War, he worked as a war correspondent on the Eastern Front and experienced the cruelty of war first-hand. He was even seriously injured in the line of duty. His literary output is admirable; the author managed to publish four novels in just a few years, and his books have been translated into 42 languages. Heinz G. Konsalik writes not only about war, politics, and grand themes, but his work also touches upon small, intimate stories of love, friendship, and loyalty. The renowned American newspaper, The New York Times, wrote an obituary in honour of Heinz G. Konsalik's passing.
