Josef Kalina: Sand between the teeth

Dakar - the famous competition through the eyes of Josef Kalina - co-driver and navigator, who has 21 successful starts. He has experienced a lot over the years and knows almost all the personalities around Dakar well, be it drivers, service teams or organisers. Josef Kalina has been successful mainly as a navigator (he has won several victories together with Karel Loprais), but he also often works as a manager, expedition accountant, spokesman and interpreter - and most importantly - he is an excellent storyteller! The book is also unique because it shows the other side of the competition. It describes the competition and financial policy of the teams and also shows the technical side of the cars, special modifications and gadgets, without which it would be impossible to manage such a demanding competition.
