Jiří Karásek: A man who fundamentally told the truth

Is Engineer Bafule a decent man, or a cunning marriage swindler? Most people would put their hands in the fire for his honesty. Only Police Inspector Krystufek is suspicious. The main roles of the radio comedy from 1965 are played by Josef Beyvl, Bohuš Záhorský, Rudolf Deyl Jr. and Dana Medřická. The popular cousin of Police Councillor Hamster is a geography teacher and has just got engaged. Her heart was won by a charming engineer in his prime who had recently returned from South America. Just to be on the safe side and in a completely discreet manner, the fiancée asks her cousin to use the police apparatus to check if the groom's past holds any unpleasant surprises. Inspector Krystufek is entrusted with this delicate task. He doesn't find anything suspicious, but still, there's something not quite right about the orderly engineer. Maybe it was that childishly honest look he gave, as if to say he couldn't lie.
