Jaroslav Havlicek: The Invisible

Few Czech writers have managed to give their stories such a dense and compelling atmosphere as Jaroslav Havlíček, the most important representative of the 20th century Czech psychological novel. It is precisely because of the disturbing undercurrent that the author uses to undermine the lives of the characters that we still cannot tear ourselves away from their fates. This is also true of the novel Invisible, in which Jaroslav Havlíček has played out a very distinctive variation of the story of the rise and fall of an ambitious self-taught man. Performers Viktor Vrabec, Martina Hudečková, Jaroslav Konecny, Kateřina Macháčková, Jaroslava Adamová, Milan Riehs and Karel Pospíšil. Directed by Petr Adler.
