Jára Cimrman Theatre after 50.

It has been an incredible 55 years since the founding of the Jára Cimrman Theatre.

This book chronicles the complete development of the legendary ensemble from its beginnings in the radio programme Nealcoholic Wine Bar at the Spider through the forced movements of the Normalization era, the regime change and the departure of Ladislav Smoljak to the forced breaks in performance during the coronavirus pandemic. It is a history of the theatre, processed season by season. It includes as much interesting information as possible over its 55 years of operation. Unique are the authentic memories that the actors have provided to the author over the past two years. The book is supplemented by a number of unpublished contemporary photographs and interesting documents.

It can be said with exaggeration that it is an undiscovered chest of writings on the history of the DJC, which are very difficult to find in such a complete form.

Let this book bring you moments of joy and moments of reflection.
