J. K. Tyl: Blood Baptisms or Drahomíra and Her Sons

A tragedy from the dawn of Czech history, as the drama Blood Baptism or Drahomíra and Her Sons is often referred to, depicts the deep divisions in the Přemyslid family and in the whole country that occurred after the death of Prince Vratislav. The radio production was staged in 1954 by director Miloslav Jareš, using an adaptation by his colleague František Štěpánek, who used his experience from his own theatre directing two years earlier. Marie Vášová and Leopolda Dostalová will play the roles of the rival Přemysloven, while Josef Chvalina, Miroslav Doležal and others will play the male leads.
