It's Ales

The small book TO JE ALES, which, thanks to its language and rhythm, is on the very edge of poetry, belongs in the best sense of the word to the typical works of Jon Fosse, laureate of the Nobel Prize in Literature (2023). We follow the story of an old woman whose husband went out to the restless sea years ago and never returned, a story about the life of several generations of one family in the middle of a fjord landscape abandoned by humans. The evocative, masterful prose tells of the fatal attraction of danger, of love that ended too soon, of coming to terms with loss, of the search for the meaning of life.
