Big house. Three dead. One uninvited guest.
Three bodies are found in a house on the outskirts of Holic: a young couple and their three-year-old daughter. Although at first everything points to the cold-blooded murder of one of the victims, it soon becomes clear that the crime scene was merely a set-up. And that the family, who seemed to have fallen out of a fortune cookie commercial, had been followed for weeks, maybe even months.
Gradually, Inspector Laura Linhart discovers that this family idyll was only apparent, and closely guarded secrets that should never have been known come to light.
How much tax will they ask for? And how many innocent lives will they end up costing?
