Into the unknown with a stranger

When teenage Sarah loses her father, she is left all alone in the world. In the gold prospectors' camp, however, the law of the strongest prevails. She must make a choice, and fast. Either she becomes the new addition to a grimy brothel, or she finds protection with someone who can help her get away. Soon, a great offer comes along. Roy seems to be the perfect solution. He's willing to give up his unprofitable share to start a new life with Sarah in civilisation. Consumed by this new hope, she lets fate carry her away, believing she is heading for paradise. But purgatory and hell are closer than they seem.
